Your Guide to Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening will give you a brighter, whiter smile, boosting confidence and improving self-esteem. Teeth can be discoloured over time usually being stained and discoloured as the result of consuming beverages such as tea, coffee, and red wine, or smoking. Discolouration is also a normal part of our teeth ageing, many people will feel their discoloured teeth make them look older than they are. Choosing to whiten your teeth will bring back a youthful appearance and provide the popular Hollywood smile.

What Happens During the Teeth Whitening Process?
The Teeth Whitening process is very simple and nothing to be worried or nervous about. Firstly, we will create a custom tray customised to fit over your teeth. This will be filled with a whitening agent which will work to gradually lighten teeth. You will use this for a few hours at home every day until you have achieved the level of whiteness that you want. This is usually seen over two weeks or so.

Who is it Suitable For?
Teeth whitening is widely available for those looking to whiten their teeth and achieve their most confident smile. However, if you have any dental restorations prior to your teeth being whitened, these will not benefit from the results of the Teeth Whitening process. Dental restorations such as Fillings, Veneers and Crowns will have been matched to the original colour of your teeth at the time of the dental work. It is always recommended you speak with your dentist before going ahead with dental treatments to ensure you have all the information.

Depending on your requirements at Holly House we have 2 whitening systems:

Enlighten – This is an at home and in surgery process with a guaranteed shade B1 (very white) result in 2 weeks.
