Specialist Periodontist

Hi, I’m Dr Khurrum Hussain. I completed my Specialist training in Periodontology at the World-renowned Eastman Dental Institute, University College London (UCL). I am registered on the GDC’s Specialist list for Periodontics and also with the European Federation of Periodontics (EFP).

I have worked in Specialist practices limited to Periodontics for several years. I am a Clinical Teacher at undergraduate and postgraduate level at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital.

My ethos is to treat patients with periodontal challenges. I aim to educate and motivate patients about this condition and I have excellent results with my periodontal care, and also in the management of PERI-IMPLANT disease.

Many of my patients have severe gum disease, or failing implants, and are finding it difficult to manage their condition. I help them to make difficult decisions about the prognosis of their teeth or implants and help them to overcome their anxieties. I provide solutions resulting in health and combat the progression of disease.

I also provide cosmetic gum surgeries to assist with restorative work that may require recontouring of your gums, mucogingvial surgery

The team at Holly House are very supportive and will help you at every stage of your Specialist treatment. Holly House, really is at the cutting edge, as I also accept patients here, for Specialist Periodontal Treatment, from other local practices.

I am also co-founder of Perio Matters, this allows me to be involved with teaching and the further education of colleagues.

Outside of work, I have been known to complete physical challenges such as London Marathon and Tough Mudder!
